BGA membership dues for 2009 are $50 for individuals (Benicia residents or non-residents) and  for the first BGA member in a Benicia family.  There is no charge for Junior members (individuals or family members under the age of 18 as of January 1, 2009}.  Membership dues for additional family members living at the same address as the primary BGA member are $15 per person.  New memberships for the second half of the year (July-September) are $25.00 

NCGA (Northern California Golf Association) memberships are also available through the BGA,  provided that the member’s BGA fees are paid.  We do not handle NCGA memberships for those who aren’t BGA members.   GHIN identification numbers are assigned to each NCGA member for handicap purposes and may be used at golf courses to post scores.  NCGA Handicaps are updated once each month and stickers with the member’s handicaps are sent out with the monthly BGA newsletters.
 
Initial NCGA membership dues are $40.*  Late dues for NCGA membership renewals after the December deadline each year or for membership reinstatement after a lapse of a year or more are also $40.  If NCGA membership lapses are for two years or less, the member’s old GHIN number and handicap information can be retrieved.  For longer lapses, the member must start over with a new GHIN number and re-establish a handicap.

 NCGA membership renewals before the December deadline are $30.  The deadline is Christmas (Dec 25th).  Renewals have to be in the membership chairman’s possession by then, since he has to transmit a starting 2009 roster to the NCGA by that date.  The NCGA charges $6 for Junior memberships, but the BGA pays those as part of its sponsorship of junior golf.                     

Current NCGA members who wish to transfer their membership to the BGA while keeping their old GHIN number may do so.   All we need for the transfer is the member’s GHIN number and the name and ID number of the previous golf association.
