Congratulations to Luis Alencastro for wining the Marty Keller Cup Tournament with a Low Net 64.  A great score for a tough day at Roddy Ranch.  We all had lots of fun.  This tournament was sponsored by Robert and Richard Ross of Security Fasteners.  We Thank You!  Also, many congratulations to Del Boyle for wining the Marty Keller points for 2008, with 485 points, worth $250.  Next year we are changing the Marty Keller points system.  You will be updated after it is finalized.  Also, check the website for updates on tournaments. 

Our 2009 BGA Handicap System is effective as of today (October 18, 2008).  The major change is your handicap will be calculated on your lowest 3 scores our of the last 5 BGA tournaments you played.  The new system will be used at Northwood on 10/26/2008.  Northwood is a “Redwood Beauty”, designed in 1928 by Alister Mackenzie.  This is one of the most scenic and challenging course that we play.

The Awards Dinner is on Thursday, November 6th.  Click here for sign-up sheet.  The $35 cost includes dinner and door prizes.  As always, guests are welcome.  Dinner is at 7:15 pm, come early.
